Men’s Club Weekly Update – May 12

The weather is turning NICE, and the course is finally greening up. One more week of decent sunshine and a good mow, and it’ll be in great shape just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

Match Play Events     

• Singles Match Play: First-round matches must be completed by May 18.     
• Doubles Match Play: First-round matches must be completed by May 25.

Important Notes:If participants can’t complete a match by the deadline, a tee time will be reserved around noon that day. If one team doesn’t show, it’s a forfeit. If neither team shows, the match will be decided by a coin toss.

If one team has very limited availability during the match window, the “gentlemanly” thing to do is forfeit — though it’s not required.

➡️ Please send a photo of your scorecard so we can enter results as competitive scores.

➡️ Once a match is closed out, you may post no better than bogey on stroke holes and par on non-stroke holes — no need for a triple-triple-triple finish on the last few holes of an otherwise solid round.

➡️ Also, send me a brief write-up about your match — the more entertaining, the better. This is supposed to be fun, remember?

Tee Box Challenge – This Sunday @ 2 PM     

Cost: $40 + applicable green fees     

• Seniors (60+): Play six holes each (your choice) from the Red, Yellow, and Blue tees     
• All others: Play six holes each from the Yellow, White, and Black tees     • 100% Handicap – Flighted Format

We currently have 28 players registered. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday evening.

Money Due

 Monday morning (~11 AM) there will be an envelope at the front desk with a list of players registered for all events thus far.

If you haven’t paid:     

• Men’s Club Dues – $40
• Singles – $40
• Doubles – $40 
• Memorial Par 3 - $40
• Par 3 Challenge - $40  

Please stop by the pro shop and take care of it.

Handicaps

This week’s “friendly reminder” — log your scores!  Yes, even your 9-hole rounds. Someone saw what you shot, and yes… they’ve checked.
